Greetings Wayfairers!

The blog is officially a year and a bit old (I forgot the exact date I started it). What a year it has been, and what a December! 20 days, 27 posts, plus four months of work on The Liberation of Sliberberg. I think it’s fair to say I need a bit of a break—time to refill my creative well with inspiration.

So, I’m off on a grand tour to the in-between places, those spaces where reality and imagination blur. In other words, I’m going on holiday to the lands of speculative fiction!

Where does one access these wondrous places, you might ask? Well, I found a portal in the local library that leads straight into the multiverse. Two weeks wandering through Discworld, the worlds of Studio Ghibli, the dreaming as envisoned by Neil Gaiman, the various other realms of the Material Plane, and the strange landscapes of dark fairy tales should give me ample material for future musings.
